Here at Ace Welding we offer a complete service through pre-construction, design, fabrication, installation, handover, and aftercare.
Preconstruction

Design & Drafting
Fully qualified Structural Engineers will develop, calculate, and warranty the steel-to-steel connections. Experienced draftsmen will guide you through the design process, and following drawing approval, ACE will produce working drawings ready for manufacture and installation.
The quality of drafting at this point will allow us to identify any holes for predrilling offsite, this speeds up the fabrication process and consequently reduces overall lead times.
Our draftsmen have experience in all types of Structural Steel frame construction from site surveying and domestic structures to complex structures with multiple interfaces.
Dependent upon the project, we can take on part or full design responsibility for the structural frame.
Fabrication & Finishes
Upon receipt of the steel members being delivered to our workshops for final fabrication, our welders who are qualified to fabricate up to an Execution Class 2 will complete the final amendments. This includes adding plates, welding joints, and completing fixing details prior to applying the finish, and loading the steel ready for delivery to site. During this process, a focus is emphasised on the importance of providing a quality product.
Several finishes can be offered such as: primer paints; galvanising to 85 or 140 microns, powder coating to any RAL colour, and decorative or non-decorative intumescent paint up to 120-minutes protection. We can also advise on the most aesthetic and/or economical solution if we understand your project requirements.
Erection & Installation
A well-planned methodology and site-specific Risk and Method Statement produced by our experienced Contract Manager is the perfect platform for a successful on-site installation. Our Installation teams are certified and trained to carry out installations in most environment and although ACE are aware of the contract obligations we contract under, we pride ourselves on being proactive, collaborative, responsive, and helpful.
Handover & Aftercare
At handover, ACE will provide a full set of as built drawings along with all other required documentation. Throughout aftercare we aim to respond to any queries quickly and efficiently.
Supply of Structural Members to the Trade
We also offer a service to the industry for the supply of builders beams and stock items for your off the shelf needs. We stock a wide range of items including RSJs, Universal Beams/Columns, PFCs, Equal Angles, Unequal Angles, Hollow Sections, Open Mesh Flooring, Durbar Plate. All available in a variety of finishes.
